New Zealand dairy giant Fonterra is investing NZ$30m (US$24.1m) in expanding storage capabilities at its dry distribution centre in Whareroa.
The company said the move will bring total investment in the facility to $50m since 2011.

“Our capacity to process milk continues to increase, which means that our storage capacity must grow to meet this. Where possible we want to store product at the point of manufacture to reduce costs,” director of logistics Mark Leslie said.
