The only New Zealand-owned supermarket company, Foodstuffs Auckland, is upping the pace of its development plans in the north of the country.
The firm’s general manager property operations Gordon Davies revealed earlier this week that construction is imminent on a NZ$15m (US$6.45m) development in Whangarei, a supermarket in Whakatane and seven other projects.
Foodstuffs operates through a co-operative structure where all outlets are franchised to owner-operators who are Foodstuffs shareholders.
