A spokesperson for the Nigeria-based body representing cocoa-growing nations told just-food today (25 April) that there was concern that protests over the rising price of food could disrupt production.

“There has not yet been any indication that production has dropped, but we are concerned that protests in West African countries could affect production,” the spokesperson said.
