North America extended its dominance for digital media hiring among food industry companies in the three months ending July.
The number of roles in North America made up 46% of total digital media jobs – up from 24% in the same quarter last year.
That was followed by Asia-Pacific, which saw a 5.4 year-on-year percentage-point increase in digital media roles.
The figures are compiled by GlobalData, which tracks the number of new job postings from key companies in various sectors over time. Using textual analysis, these job advertisements are then classified thematically.

The fastest growing country was the US, which generated 21% of all digital media job adverts in the three months ending July 2021 but 43.8% in the three months ending July this year.
Which cities and locations are the biggest hubs for digital media workers in the food industry?
Some 3.5% of all food industry digital media roles were advertised in the US city of York in the three months ending July.
That was followed by Suresnes in France with 2.3% and Twin Falls (also in the US) with 2.2%.
