The transaction price is NOK575m (US$90.43m) based on enterprise value, the company said.
Epax is a leading producer of high-concentrate Omega-3 oils.
In 2006 Epax used 5,000 tons of fish oil in its production of 1,500 tons of concentrated Omega-3 oils. The acquired company expects a 2006 turnover of approximately NOK230-235m, Austevoll said.
