Norwegian seafood processor Austevoll Seafood announced yesterday (4 September) that it had acquired smolt producer Eidane Smolt AS through its subsidiary Veststar AS.
Norwegian seafood processor Austevoll Seafood announced yesterday (4 September) that it had acquired smolt producer Eidane Smolt AS through its subsidiary Veststar AS.
Eidane is a modern smolt plant with a license to produce 1.5m of seaworthy smolt. The acquisition will meet Veststar’s requirements for quality smolt for its salmon fleet.
The purchase price is NOK24m (US$3.79m).
