The president and CEO of Norwegian food-to-energy conglomerate Orkla is to step down from the role later this year.
Dag Opedal said on Friday (2 July) that after six years in the job it was the right time to move on.

“After nearly six years as president and CEO and nine years as a member of Orkla’s group executive board, I feel it is time to pass on the baton,” Opedal said. “It has been incredibly exciting to have the opportunity to take part in Orkla’s dynamic development during this period.”
Opedal will continue to be chairman of solar energy firm Renewable Energy Corp, in which Orkla has an almost 40% stake.
