In a statement yesterday (17 December), the company said the deal builds up its position as “one of Europe’s fastest-growing providers of premium, natural pet nutrition”.
TNC said the purchase will “accelerate” its “expansion” in the treats category, which it described as one of the most rapidly growing areas within pet nutrition.
The group added that Antos gives it access to a “wide network of retailers and distributors, enabling the group to expand its range of premium treats quickly and efficiently across the region”.
Anders Kristiansen, CEO of The Nutriment Company, said the takeover delivers “instant scale to our treats business in the Benelux region”.

By GlobalDataAntos’ “strong market presence in a fast-growing segment makes them an excellent fit for TNC”, he added.
Founded more than 30 years ago, Antos operates a logistics facility in the Netherlands, which TNC plans to use as a “strategic hub” for the Benelux market.
The site offers “significant expansion capacity” and is expected to support the distribution of TNC’s full product range to a large and growing customer base.
According to TNC, Antos’s products will add “exceptional variety and depth” to its existing line-up.
Désirée Steegers, CEO of Antos, added: “With TNC’s scale and international network, as well as our shared vision for the future, we will be able to increase our impact while remaining true to our heritage.”
The Antos acquisition extends a string of deals for TNC in 2025.
In October, TNC took over French fresh pet-food company Easy-Barf, founded in 2015 by Ariane Byhet and David Boulle, with about 80% of its sales generated online.
In July, TNC snapped up UK-based cat-food supplier Purrform, adding a “new dimension of species-specific expertise to its brand portfolio”.
The group’s other acquisitions earlier in the year included the purchase of Graf Barf, a German private-label pet-food business and Bulmer Pet Foods.
