Nutrition & Santé, the French dietary food specialist, has invested EUR21m in a production and packaging plant at its manufacturing centre in Revel, near Toulouse.
A company spokesperson told just-food the expansion of capacity had been in response to the strong growth in demand in France and abroad for its range of sports and dietary cereal bars.

Inaugurated late last month, the new plant is also expected to contribute to improving the flexibility between production lines at the Revel complex, which accounts for almost one-third of Nutrition & Santé’s total output, the company said. It also help with the launch of more products.
Acquired by Japanese pharmaceuticals group Otsuka in 2009, Nutrition & Santé posted a 2013 turnover of EUR332m of which 45% is generated by international sales.
