US private-equity firm Peak Rock Capital has acquired a majority stake in Canadian mushroom producer Highline Produce.
Highline, based in Ontario, has four production facilities and a distribution centre, where it packs a range of mushrooms for retail and foodservice customers.

“Our investment in Highline represents Peak Rock’s continued commitment to identifying and partnering with market-leading consumer businesses that have the potential to outperform through investments in growth,” Peak Rock president and MD Steve Martinez said.
Glenn Martin, the CEO of Highline, added: “We are thrilled to have access to the resources necessary to support our ongoing success, particularly as we pursue new product development.”
