Food and drink giant PepsiCo’s Frito-Lay division is launching Mac n’ Cheetos into the freezer aisles of US supermarkets.
Having previously partnered with Burger King to offer Mac n’ Cheetos at its restaurants for a limited time in 2016, the product – described as cheesy Cheetos flavour on the outside and creamy mac n’ cheese on the inside – will be made available to shoppers for the first time.
Asif Hirji, senior director of marketing innovation, Frito-Lay North America, said: “We are excited to give the devoted fans of Mac n’ Cheetos the opportunity to enjoy Mac n’ Cheetos alongside the Cheetos classics sold at national retailers.”
Mac n’ Cheetos is available in two flavours: Mac n’ Cheetos Creamy Cheddar Mac & Cheese and Mac n’ Cheetos Flamin’ Hot Mac & Cheese Snacks. A 14.4 ounce box has an RRP of US$4.98.
Frito-Lay is the US$14bn convenient foods business unit of PepsiCo. It is headquartered in Purchase, New York.
