The product is available in three variants: chocolate, with pieces of chocolate that use UTZ certified cocoa; nuts, a mix of Brazil nuts, hazelnuts, almonds and toasted pecans; and fruit, with pieces of coconut, banana, papaya, raisins, pineapple and apple.

The firm said the cereal could be mixed with yoghurt, milk or fruits and therefore could be consumed as a breakfast, dessert or snack.

"Cruesli is aimed at adults and young adults, seeking a varied and balanced diet without renouncing flavor," a spokesperson for PepsiCo told just-food in an email.

The product will be available at mainstream chains in Spain including Alcampo, Leclerc and Carrefour at an RRP of EUR2.95 (US$3.16).
