Perfection Fresh Australia has acquired fellow produce group Moraitis in a deal the company said boosts its position in the tomato category.
The agreement includes the licence to the kumato variety, a 4.7 hectare glasshouse in Tatura, Victoria, and access to a “strategically aligned” network of tomato growers. Perfection Fresh stressed the added capacity will “significantly enhance” its ability to serve the Australian market, complementing its existing operations.

We believe that innovation will provide new growth opportunities to create largely untapped demand and ultimately grow the category.
