Peter’s Foodservice has acquired gourmet hot dog maker Mom’s Fabulous Foods for an undisclosed sum.
Mom’s generates an annual turnover of more than GBP2m (US$2.8m) and it supplies stadiums, travel hubs, pub groups and fast food outlets in the UK.
Peter’s said the deal would expand its range and revealed it plans to feed Mom’s products into its existing customer base across retail, foodservice, stadium, caterering and fast food outlets.
Finance director David Peek said: “We are delighted to reach this agreement and further expand our product offering, especially in the fast growing food-to-go sector.
Mom’s founder Nick Pagett will continue to work at the company as managing director. He said the agreement would act as a “catalyst for future growth”.
Peter’s manufactures savoury pastry products under its own brands Peter’s and Seriously Tasty, as well as under licence for Heinz and Premier Foods plc-owned Bisto.
