ABP expects to begin operations at the site next month.

The company said it intends to increase supplies of Polish beef to customers throughout the EU. After Ireland, Poland is the second-largest beef-exporting country in the bloc.

“This expansion will allow ABP Poland to further solidify our position as a sustainable supplier of high quality Polish beef products to customers throughout Europe. When we entered the Polish market we intended to build a business of significant scale, and this acquisition is a continuation of that strategy,” CEO Paul Finnerty said.

ABP entered Poland in 2011 when its acquired its first production plant in Pniewy.
