Nico Catoggio, a former Unilever executive now working at Boston Consulting Group, will join Post Holdings to lead that division.

In his new role, Friedman will report to Post Holdings’ president and CEO Rob Vitale. Post Holdings said it had created the COO position to “drive better collaboration, cost reduction and revenue opportunities across the portfolio”.

Friedman will also manage what the company calls “long-tail projects” and “support each business with respect to process improvement, M&A targeting and synergy evaluation and delivery”.

Vitale said: “I am looking forward to working with Howard in this new role as we seek to optimise our opportunities to leverage the scale of our businesses.”
