US food business Rich Products has acquired the privately-owned Christie Cookie Company, based in Nashville, for an undisclosed sum.
Rich Products, which itself is also a privately-held firm located in Buffalo, New York, said the deal will expand its presence in the cookies segment. The company’s portfolio stretches across bakery, pizza, snacks and cookies, as well as other products, and counts Farm Rich and SeaPak among its brands.

Christie Cookie Company was founded in 1983 and makes gourmet cookies for the retail and foodservice channels.
Ray Burke, the president of Rich Products’ US and Canada business, said: “The acquisition of Christie Cookie Company furthers our position as a premier supplier in the growing cookie category. Adding the iconic and beloved Christie brand of products to our portfolio is something we’re very excited about as we move forward.”
Christie Cookie Company has one manufacturing facility and also owns two retail bakery shops in Nashville. The firm employs nearly 100 workers and produces around 100 million cookies a year, according to a statement from Rich Products.
