Rewe Group has revealed that it plans to expand its Penny discount operations in Romania.
A spokesperson for the Germany-based retailer told just-food today (24 March) that it plans to open a further 20 stores in the country, although was unable to say how long the expansion would take.
Rewe Group recently announced that its Penny division in Romania delivered 4.3% turnover growth during 2010.
The retailer currently operates over 100 stores in the country.
