Ukrainian confectioner Roshen, which sells chocolate, candy and cookies across Russia and the CIS, has revealed details of its latest plant in the Russian region of Lipetsk.

Roshen plans to spend around US$250m building a production complex near the town of Cosyrevka. Construction is expected to start next year and finish in 2016.

The site will include a confectionery production plant and a depot centre. The plant will make “high-quality chocolate goods” with a capacity of 253,000 tonnes a year, Roshen said this week (22 September).
