The Moscow region’s Bureau of the Federal Anti-Monopoly Service (BFAS) said that, according to information from the local offices of the Agricultural Ministry, the companies have concurrently brought down purchasing prices for milk.

According to the investigation, in December last year, the companies succeeded in simultaneously reducing purchasing prices by 25-26%. All the companies allegedly refused to sign contracts with new suppliers to fix the purchasing price.

BFAS suggested that, as the four companies purchase and treat almost 90% of the milk produced in the Moscow region, they violated the anti-competition law with regard to carrying out coordinated operations in the market.
