Half-year sales at Russian retailer Magnit jumped 30%, thanks to the contribution of new stores and signs underlying sales were also up.
The London-listed retailer, Russia’s largest by sales, said today (10 July) its net retail sales were RUR47.48bn for the first six months of 2013, up 30.3%.

Magnit opened 532 outlets over the period, taking its store count to 7,416. The retailer provided a number for the growth it saw in its average ticket on its like-for-like basis, which increased 5.7%.
Magnit said its first-half “sales growth dynamics” were “stable”.
