Russian discount grocer Kopeyka said in a statement today (5 February) that its 2006 revenues rose 70.5% year-on-year, increasing to US$980m.

In its preliminary results release, the company said that its number of stores had increased to 328 at the beginning of this year, from 118 stores at the beginning of 2006. The company has expanded geographically, with operations in 26 regions today compared to six regions at the beginning of last year.
