RUSSIA: No poultry shortage with US ban, insists Gordeyev
Russian Agriculture Minister Alexei Gordeyev reassured consumers yesterday [Tuesday] that “there is no reason to worry about a possible shortage” of chicken following the ban on imports of the meat from the US. Speaking at a news conference held in the Interfax main office, Gordeyev added: “After 10 March [the start of the ban], there was no increase in poultry prices. There are sufficient reserves of the product”.
