Russian retailer Seventh Continent announced plans today (19 August) to resume selling Danone products.

In a statement released today, the company made a full U-turn on claims it made last week, where it said that it was being pressured by two companies, Unimilk and Danone, which are in the midst of a merger and that it was no longer stocking Danone products following a 31% wholesale price increase.

“The company has no grounds for accusing Danone in concerted action with Unimilk. Similar conclusions have been possible on the basis of publicly available information about a forthcoming merger and are wrong,” it said
