Sergei Kuznetsov, a spokesman for Russia’s agriculture ministry, told Reuters: “Things were basically settled by phone yesterday, now we are waiting for the documents.”


The trade in poultry was suspended earlier this month after authorities could not reach a deal on how US companies could comply with new import standards. A new veterinary certificate should allow exports of US poultry to resume soon, however.
