Rosselkhoznadzor said its officials had inspected 49 US poultry plants and storage enterprises and 26 pork processing and storage facilities, according to a Dow Jones report.

Following those inspections, Rosselkhoznadzor has banned 17 poultry processors, five poultry refrigerator operators, seven pork processors and one pork storage operation from shipping to Russia, the report said. The bans take effect on 1 November.

Rosselkhoznadzor also inspected 38 beef plants, and has allowed 18 of those to export off-the-bone beef and beef products to Russia.
