Russian dairy and baby food group Wimm-Bill-Dann has announced a revamp of its business in a bid to boost efficiency.

As part of the restructure, effective from 1 March, the company’s dairy and baby food units will be combined with the holding company into a single structure, WBD Foods.
Two new roles of vice president of operations and vice president of sales will be created to lead the division.
WBD International, a new entity, will develop and accelerate activities in Ukraine, Central Asia, the Caucasus region and exports to the rest of the world.
Tony Maher, CEO of Wimm-Bill-Dann, said: “This restructuring will reduce the number of layers of management and will make the company leaner and more efficient.”

By GlobalDataOleg Kuzmin, formerly head of the company’s dairy business will become vice president of operations at WBD Foods.
Grant Winterton, a former Coca-Cola Co. and Campbell Soup Co. executive, will become vice president of sales. Winterton has been at Wimm-Bill-Dann since 2006.
