X5 Retail Group has announced the resignation of Alexander Kosiyanenko as a member of its supervisory board.

Kosiyanenko, previously of Perekrestok, one of the Russian retail chains that merged to form X5 in 2006, intends to concentrate on other business areas, the company said.
Following Perekrestok’s merger with rival Pyaterochka, Kosiyanenko served on X5’s board, contributing to the overall strategy and development of the group.
A replacement for Kosiyanenko is being considered and the decision will be announced in due course.
