In a statement, Connecticut-based Saffron Road said as president Turbeville had “strengthened operational leadership, sharpened marketing focus, and aligned teams around a clear, future-facing strategy”.

Turbeville joined Saffron Road in 2024 following a stint as chief commercial officer at US charcuterie business Village Gourmet.

“I brought on Paul Turbeville over a year ago to be my co-pilot, with a clear mission to onboard him into a higher executive and leadership role, upon his successfully steering our company and team to brighter horizons during very challenging times,” Durani said in a LinkedIn post.

“Paul brings extensive experience in the consumer-packaged goods industry, with a proven track record of scaling up high-growth, purpose-driven brands.”

Before Village Gourmet, Turbeville spent seven years at US egg supplier Pete and Gerry’s, including six as VP of marketing.

Durrani worked at Vermont Pure Spring Water and Delicious Brands before founding Saffron Road in 2010.

He was also the principal shareholder of Stonyfield Farm until its sale to French dairy group Danone in 2001.

Turbeville said: “Saffron Road’s clarity of purpose comes directly from Adnan’s vision and values. My role is to build on that foundation – to scale responsibly, deepen our impact, and ensure this brand continues to matter in a rapidly evolving food landscape.”

Saffron Road’s product range frozen entrées, shelf-stable meals, simmer sauces and plant-based protein snacks.

In addition to its core Indian range, the brand features Thai, Moroccan and Mexican and other global flavours.
