Australian breakfast drink maker Sanitarium is launching a gluten-free option under its Up&Go brand.
The product is aimed at Australians who "live on-the-go" but also want to avoid gluten and get a "nutritious start to the day". Up&Go Gluten Free scores a health star rating of 4.5 stars, contains high amounts of protein and fibre, is 98.5% fat free and provides half of an adult's daily calcium requirements, a spokesperson for Sanitarium told just-food.

"Sanitarium understands that approximately one in 70 Aussies have Coeliac disease and many other consumers are looking to reduce their gluten intake, so they've developed Up&Go Gluten Free to provide a convenient, great-tasting, gluten free liquid breakfast choice, in addition to the market-leading regular Up&Go," the spokesperson said.
The new product comes in two flavours – choc ice and vanilla ice. It joins Sanitarium's existing range and is available in grocery stores throughout Australia.
