US food group Sargento Foods is launching Snack Bites cheese snacks.
Snack Bites are “small sticks” of “natural cheese” and contain fewer than 20 calories per stick. They come in four flavours: garlic & herb jack, Wisconsin sharp cheddar, colby pepper jack and chipoltle BBQ.

The new snacks are available throughout the US, the company revealed. They come in a resealable bag for an suggested retail price of US$3.69.
“We know people are looking for bold new snacks, with consumers open to trying new flavours,” said Chris McCarthy, director of marketing for the Sargento’s consumer products division. “Sargento is delivering flavour intensity to snackers with the same high-quality, natural cheese they expect from Sargento.”
Sargento is investing in growing its presence in the US and the company revealed last year that it is expanding production at its facility in Hilbert, Wisconsin. This additional capacity is expected to come online later this year.
