
Saudi Arabia has announced a temporary suspension on poultry imports from five US states on the back of bird flu concerns.
Poultry meat and eggs have been included as part of the ban imposed on imports from Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin and Iowa. Previously, poultry imports from Oregon, California, Washington, Idaho, Minnesota, Missouri, Kansas and Arkansas were blocked.

The country also confirmed the ban of poultry and egg imports from Thimpu, Bhutan, because of the spread of bird flu.
Saudi Authorities said the ban would continue until the situation stabilises.
