Nestlé’s MAGGI range of recipe mixes now bear the Healthier Choice Symbol (HCS), symbolising the Health Promotion Board’s approval as a healthier food choice, the group said today [Monday].
MAGGI also participated in the Healthier Food Declaration pledge at the launch of today’s National Healthy Lifestyle Campaign 2002. Available from October 2002, the specially formulated mixes will give Singaporeans a healthier version of traditional favourites.
The Healthier Choice Symbol is put on food products that meet the nutritional standards set by the Health Promotion Board. The primary objective of the Healthier Choice Label Programme is to highlight healthier selections for each food category.
“By raising awareness of the availability of healthier products to the consumer through the Healthier Choice Symbol, we aim to improve the dietary practices of Singaporeans for a healthier, better life.” said a spokesperson from the Health Promotion Board.
Nestlé Singapore (Pte) Ltd, established in 1912, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Nestlé SA, the world’s largest food company.
