Japanese probiotics firm Yakult Honsha has said it will launch a new fermented milk drink in Singapore in October.

The new product, named Yakult Ace Light, will have fewer calories and will carry a “Healthier Choice” label, reported Kyodo News.
Yakult said the product is the first fermented milk drink to be given the Healthier Choice symbol, which is put on food products that meet nutritional standards set by the Singapore National Heart Association.
Yakult Ace Light will be produced at the company’s Malaysian subsidiary, the report said.
