Confectionery to soft drinks group Cadbury Schweppes has received clearance from South African competition authorities for the sale of its Bromor Foods subsidiary to Tiger Food Brands Limited.

Cadbury originally announced the sale of Bromor in April. The deal is now expected to be completed on 1 August.


In 2004, Bromor’s revenue was ZAR767m (US$123.3m), and underlying profit from operations was ZAR72m.
