Reports in the Spanish press had linked Kellogg, the world’s largest cereal maker, to a portfolio of brands including Chiquilin and Filipinos.

Kraft is selling 14 biscuit brands in Spain under the conditions imposed by the EU when the European Commission cleared the company’s acquisition of Danone’s biscuit business last year.

Kraft has kicked off the sale process and is understood to have appointed Goldman Sachs as its financial adviser.

Spanish food groups Nutrexpa and Grupo SOS, as well as local baker Panrico, have been touted as potential buyers, alongside Kellogg.
