Spanish baker Panrico has extended its product range to include a low calorie sweet snack.
The new ‘is!99’ snack is so called, the company said, because it is only made with 99 calories and is ‘low in fat’.
The product was launched yesterday (27 January) and is available to consumers in retail outlets throughout Spain and Portugal.
A marketing campaign will follow the launch in the next week.
Ignacio Silva, commercial director of Panrico, said: “We have managed to develop a food that allows consumers to enjoy without losing any flavour. Therefore, we have defined this as the first and only sweet snack that is intensely flavourful and really light, with a slight heart of cocoa or strawberry.”
