Malaga-based Hojiblanca represents 23 high-grade olive growers mainly in the north of the province. Cordoliva represents 20 producers in the province of Cordoba. The combined production volume of the two cooperatives is estimated to be around 80,000 tonnes, which would represent 10% of Andalucia’s total output and 8% of Spain’s total output, reported El Pais.

If the deal goes ahead, the merged cooperative will be called Hojiblanca, but the various brand names of the two groups will be maintained.
