The product has been launched by soya manufacturer Soy Foods (Lanka) Ltd, Ratmalana. Using the umbrella brand name Lanka Soy, the new product, Mung Plus, uses green gram as an extra ingredient.

The manufacturer is a subsidiary of Ceylon Biscuits Ltd.
