Swedish retailer Axfood has confirmed that it is cutting 14 jobs at its Hemköp support offices in Solna, near Stockholm.
A spokesperson for the company said that the move was a result of store closures, as head office functions needed to be trimmed accordingly.

“We have had to adjust our support functions to reflect the fact that we have closed a number of Hemköp stores,” the spokesperson said.
The measure is in line with the previously communicated action plan for Hemköp, Axfoold said.
Axfood revealed today (20 April) that its first quarter net profit rose 6.7% in the three months to 31 March.
