Swedish food retail chain Hemkop, a subsidiary of Swedish food retail group Axfood, has appointed Carl-Erik Moller as the company’s new chief executive officer.

Moller, who has held the position of deputy CEO of Hemkop since May 2002, will succeed Lennart Andersson.


Moller has previously worked for Swedish supermarket chain ICA Ahold and cooperative group Kooperativa Forbundet.


Axfood operates 700 discount stores, supermarkets and convenience stores in Sweden under the Vivo, Hemkop, Billhalls, Willys, Tempo, Eurospar and Spar banners.
