Swiss dairy group Emmi has reached an agreement to be an international sponsor of alpine ski racing.

The company has signed a multi-year sponsorship agreement with Infront Sports & Media, a sports marketing agency, for FIS World Cup alpine skiing events.

Emmi will debut as a sponsor of the FIS World Cup race in Lake Louise, Canada, in early December.

The agreement entitles Emmi’s name to be on the slopes during the most important FIS World Cup events in Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Italy and North America. Emmi will display its banners and logo at prime parts of the course, within the start and finish areas, or on the athletes’ bib numbers, guaranteeing extensive television coverage.

“Competitive skiing, which has been a fixture of Switzerland for many years, the alpine backdrop and of course the strong emphasis on ‘made in Switzerland’ are excellent ways for us to spread the word about the Emmi brand throughout Europe,” explained Urs Riedener, Emmi CEO.
