Swiss chocolate maker Lindt & Sprungli is to roll out its lifestyle brand Hello to more markets.

The confectioner, which launched the brand in Germany in September, is set to introduce the range into Switzerland this month and the UK in July.

The line, which comprises 13 different product offerings, is available in four variants: Caramel Brownie, Crunchy Nougat, Strawberry Cheesecake and Cookies & Cream.

The concept behind the launch, Lindt said, is to appeal to a “fashionable” target market. The range will be rolled out to other unspecified markets at a later date, the confectioner said.

Kepler Capital Markets analyst Jon Cox believes the Hello brand is “an interesting development” that could provide “more stimulus to group growth” and act as an entry point for the main Lindt brand.

“Lindt can continue to capture market share from the majors given its sharper focus on the category and innovative culture,” he noted. “Also, generally subdued commodities may allow the company further scope to increase its marketing spend to drive growth.”
