The centre, to open in 2009, will be located at Nestlé’s chocolate factory in Broc, Switzerland.
The Swiss food giant said the move is a “further sign” that it sees luxury and premium products as one of its key strategic areas of growth and profit potential over the coming years.
“About 70% of our chocolate is in local premium brands such as Cailler in Switzerland and Nestle Noir in France and we will continue to develop these brands and generate growth in the premium sector,” said Nina Backes, a spokesperson for Nestle told just-food.
“More and more consumers are seeking to indulge in higher quality chocolate and are prepared to pay a little bit more.”
