Callebaut, which this year secured a major US supply deal with Hershey, has bought Philadelphia-based Food Processing International (FPI) for an undisclosed sum.
The deal, which was first announced in October, sees Callebaut acquire a factory with a annual for capacity of 25,000 metric tons for cocoa liquor.
Callebaut plans to double the plant’s capacity over the next three years.
