UK-based drinks giant Allied Domecq has said it has entered into a worldwide licensing agreement with Swiss confectionery company Goldkenn to produce chocolate truffles with MUMM Champagne.
The new product’s packaging will carry certain attributes of the two brands; the typical Goldkenn gold standard packaging and the “Cordon Rouge” labels of G.H. MUMM & Cie.
The companies said the truffles, which will be made in Switzerland, are targeted at the duty free and airline markets worldwide and major domestic markets including Europe, USA and Canada, the Far East and Australia. They will be appearing in high street department stores, such as BHS in the UK, and boxes of 16 truffles will retail for around €15 (US$17.5).
