The deal, for an undisclosed sum, will go through on 1 January, Emmi said this morning (26 October).
Emmi said the acquisition of Haerten & Interimex, which specialises in cheese distribution in Belgium and Luxembourg, would strengthen its position in the two markets.
Haerten & Interimex has acted as Emmi’s local distributor and will handle the dairy’s group’s entire product range from next year.
