Swiss dairy firm Emmi has said it has agreed to take over the logistics operations of the Swiss ice cream business of Anglo-Dutch consumer goods giant Unilever.

Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. Emmi plans to integrate the 32 employees based at the operations in Ostermundigen from 1 February, reported Dow Jones International News.
Emmi exports products worth over CHF400m (US$339.0m), mainly to the EU, US and Canada. Its products include cave-matured cheeses, as well as popular Swiss cheeses such as Emmentaler, Gruyère, Appenzeller and Tête de Moine, and chilled dairy products.
