Swiss grocery retailer Migros has announced plans to extend its budget private-label range.

The retailer said today (20 June) that it would add a further 100 products to the M-Budget line, taking the range to some 600 SKUs. Migros also plans to modernise the range’s packaging as well as reformulating a number of the products.

The new packaging design will include green and white packaging as well as clearly labelling the products’ nutritional value, which will allow customers to “know at a glance the number of calories and the sugar or fat in a serving”.

Migros said that the extended range will include a number of products that it previously offered in smaller packages to better service the needs of small households.

New products will include sugar corn flakes, egg noodles, donuts and frozen raspberries.
