Swiss food giant Nestlé has said it expects a minor positive impact on its full-year sales from the current heat wave in Europe, but would not be revising its targets.
Nestlé spokesman Francois Perroud said the heat wave would “certainly not have a significant impact on Nestlé’s full year sales,” adding that the company operates worldwide and has a large product range, reported AFX News.
He added, however, that sales of the company’s ice creams and mineral water were benefiting from the hot weather in Europe, but declined to give details of what percentage of group sales these products account for.
The company would not be revising its full-year targets because of the heat wave, Perroud added.
